Mary believes state government should hold the line on tax increases and live within its means – just like families in Douglas and Otter Tail counties do every day.

Job Creation is a Top Priority:

Creating a favorable small business climate is key to job growth. Mary Franson has been a champion of legislation to enact a favorable tax and investment climate for entrepreneurs and small business owners. Mary has worked to remove regulations that stifle business growth and expansion. When our small-town main streets prosper, we all prosper!

Making Good Schools Even Better:

Schools in Douglas and Otter Tail counties receive thousands less per student than schools in the metro area. Mary Franson will work to secure fair education funding and ensure there is reform and accountability for every dollar spent. Mary supports high academic standards and challenging coursework to prepare students to compete in the global economy.

Standing Up for Family Farmers and Agriculture:

When Minnesota’s ag economy is healthy, our main streets, schools, churches and civic organizations are healthy. Mary knows farmers are the best stewards of the land. She will work to roll back excessive state regulations and ensure the PCA, DNR and Department of Agriculture serve as partners who assist – not hinder – farmers and their ag operations.

Ensuring Affordable Health Care:

Minnesota has the best health care in the world, but we need to make it more accessible and affordable through competition in the health insurance market – not through a government takeover. Government-run health care limits treatment options and leads to rationing.

North Central Minnesota – Our Home:

The friendly small towns, clean lakes and rivers, beautiful forests, hunting, fishing, boating and snowmobiling are why we live in Minnesota. Mary Franson will protect our environment, allow responsible use of our natural resources and proudly defend our way of life.

Pro-Life, Pro-Family:

Mary is a pro-life from conception to natural death. Mary is opposed to taxpayer funding of abortion and the heinous practice of partial-birth abortion. Mary supports adoption and programs to ease the adoption process. Mary believes marriage is the loving bond of one man and one woman who have as many children as God entrusts to their care.
